Hello! I am Cassandra. I am a vocalist, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Minneapolis, MN. I have also resided in Los Angeles, CA and Omaha, NE. I began singing and playing in school, church, and coffee shops from a young age, and by age 15, I was playing in bands locally. I attended McNally Smith College of Music where I studied Vocal Performance and Music Production. I've spent a decade touring and recording with my Cinematic Indie Rock band “Coyote Kid” (formerly known as Marah in the Mainsail) as well as my current Alt Pop solo project “Cassandra Valentine.” I spent two years teaching Voice, Bass, and Keys at School of Rock where I absolutely fell in love with teaching. I have spent the past couple years teaching freelance.

The human voice is my first love. My goal is to teach you the fundamentals while also helping you find your own sound. If you are looking for a safe space to try something new, if you have been singing for a long time and want to fill in the gaps and refine your skills, if you want to sing for fun or to be a rockstar, I am here to help you achieve those goals. As a young person, I struggled to find teachers that understood my artistic perspective or that weren't classical and stuffy. If contemporary, pop, rock, indie, folk, etc. is your jam, I'm hoping that I can be that person for you.
